Quilt Fest 2010: General Information and Instructions for Submitting Your Articles for Display

Quilt Fest 2010 is sponsored by Letort Quilters in conjunction with Boiling Springs Foundry Day. The exhibit will be held at the Iron Forge Educational Center, Forge Road, Boiling Springs, PA, June 5, 2010, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Don't forget to fill out your Registration Form and attache a Sleeve to your quilt!

Registration of the articles to be included in the show will be Sunday March 7, 2010 from 2 – 4 p.m. You can print and fill out the registration application by clicking here. Your application form must be completely filled out in its entirety before you register your article. If you are unable to attend registration, you must submit two (2) color, full-view, non-returnable pictures and a completed registration form for each item being registered to either Lois Muzzy (717-249-7852) or Donna Hurley (717-243-3507) prior to March 6, 2010.

Instructions

The display section is open to any of the following types of articles: Traditional Quilts, Contemporary Quilts, Clothing, Wall Hangings, Miniatures, etc. They may include: Challenge Projects, Block of the Month Projects and Workshop Projects.

Please note: All items must be completely finished including quilting, if applicable.

• Each display object must have an identification label. This must be a 3” x 5” cloth label and must include the following information printed legibly: your name, address, telephone number and the registration number which will be assigned by the display committee at a future date. The label must be sewn on the back of the item as follows: looking at the back, attach the label in the lower left-hand corner.


• Each display item must be submitted in a cloth pillowcase or cloth bag with a label attached to it that includes the same information as printed on your label attached to the back of the item. Please note: The number on your cloth pillowcase or bag must be at least 2” high!


• You will need to bring your item(s) to the Iron Forge Educational Center on Friday, June 4, 2010 anytime between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. to sign in your article(s).


• Your item(s) must be signed out for pick up on June 5, 2010 anytime between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.Please note: Articles may not be picked up before 4:30 p.m. and must be picked up by 5:30 p.m.! If someone else is delivering and/or picking up item(s) for you, we must have written permission from you with the person’s name and their relationship to you (example: husband, sister, friend, etc.).

Quilt Sleeves
